If you’d like to transfer a domain from one domain name registrar to another, you will need to go through a couple of security procedures. One of them is obtaining a unique EPP authorization code from the current registrar – as long as you are the registrant, since the code is sent to the owner's email and nobody else can get it. You will have to give this code to the new registrar company, otherwise they won’t be able to begin the domain transfer process. The EPP codes are case-sensitive and may include digits or special symbols such as dots or commas, which can be easily miswritten, so make sure you copy & paste the right code. As an additional safety measure, the transfer authorization code for a domain may be reset on a regular basis. Certain domain name registrars refer to this code as an Auth key, a domain password or a domain secret as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Web Hosting

You can obtain the EPP transfer code for any domain name that you have registered with our company with only a couple of clicks from the exact same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to manage your web hosting account. As soon as you visit the Registered Domains section, you’ll find all your domain names conveniently displayed in alphabetical order. In case a certain TLD extension supports transfers between domain registrars with an EPP transfer code, you will see an EPP button on the right side of the given domain. If you click that button, the code will be emailed to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the domain in question. If needed, you can update the contact information, including the email address, without even leaving this Control Panel section, in case the currently listed email address isn’t valid any longer.
